My friends.

I have some of the best friends in the world. Luke robare, Ashton Drew, Jeremy Carranza, Neiman Byerly, Rajon Fair, and James Lince are by far the coolest kids that I know. Each of them are different in a lot of ways. Some are more mature than others, some are immature and halirious, some are serious and keep me in check, but I love each and every single one of those people. Life is just a collection of moments and I have had a ton of good moments with this group of people. I just want to say thank you to each of these guys and let them know that they have a major impact on my life.

the species of gingers. (fetus)

There are these two randoms that always come into my journalism class, their names are Sarai Fermin and Victoria Rodriguez:). Sarai is a bully and always makes fun of my pink skin, she says that I look like a Fetus which is apparently pink. Victoria is not so much a bully like sarai but she always makes fun of my ginger hair. I feel that my ginger hair is beautiful and it allows me to get the money and the women (ask luke robare if you need a refrence) . They have nicknamed me as justin donald money fetus gingy jess and i find this quite offensive. They need to go somewhere, because they are ridiculous and dont know what they are talking about! please comment if you agree with me if not you all can go take a walk!!!!

Mistakes

Mistakes, each and every single one of us make them. Some mistakes are huge, while others are small but its not the size of our mistakes that define us, it is the way that we handle them. This week I had made a big mistake that I am not going to get into, but it had really got me down. I wasnt sure what other people would think about me, I wasnt sure how other people would react to that mistake but because of those thoughts I was feeling really confused and unsure of what I should do. It wasnt until the moment that I owned up to my mistake that I realized that it wasnt that bad and I was only human. Mistakes have the tendency to make us look down on ourselves and forget that we are all only human. When we take ownership of our mistakes and we realize that our mistakes are what make us human and each of us make mistakes. We will be able to realize that we can move forward from that past wrong and move onto something greater and better than we had before.

Reading.

I personaly dont like reading, I find it kind of boring and time consuming, but lately I have been listening to audio books and i have been reading this book called the compound effect. Each of the books I am reading and listening to right now are incredible books. These books are books on leadership and self-improvement which I really enjoy for some reason. Before I wouldnt want to read a book, but now I am purposefully making spare time to get some reading in my busy schedule. Who knows, maybe I found a new hobby or maybe this reading streak will pass, either way I am enjoying these books and I think everyone (especially seniors) should read the compound effect.

Thanksgiving

Well today is thanksgiving and i would like to start out by saying that I am thankful for my school. AHCS is the best school ever, the environment is great, the people are great, just everything about it is awsome. I would also like to say that i am thankful for my family and my friends because without them I wouldnt be where I am today. Thanksgiving is that one day where we all say something that we are thankful for which is great, but I feel that we should be thankful everyday of our lives. God besses us everyday and I feel that we should all be thankful not only on this day but everyday.

Twilight

This week the new Twilight movie is coming out. I have never really saw any of these Twilight movies, but I let my friend Bj  convince me to go. I personally could care less about going, but I know that there are people out there that are extreemly excited about seeing this movie. My question for you twilight fans out there is why do u find these movies good? and why do you find it so exciting?

New Encounters.

Today a friend of mine from Philadelphia flew in and is going to live with us.  He is a cool kid, but he has come from a bad situation. I am looking forward to the chalanges and things that come with the situation, because I know that I will be able to learn and improve from him being here. I hope that those of you that are reading this and go to my school will meet my friend Bj one day and come to like him and give him good frinedship and direction.

hunger

Today I was sitting in class and I had noticed that I was very hungry. When I am hungry in class, I have this tendency to not pay attention because all I can think about is how hungry I am. Today I am really craving some taco bell, so I had asked Luke Robare if he would come to taco bell with me. Fortunately, luke robare said yes to my proposal, so now I am waiting in anticipation to go to taco bell. I wish that lunch could come a lot faster but its not. I was wondering does anyone else have this hunger problem at school like I do?

British Literature

Today in British literature a new rule was instituted regarding our journals. Normally sister Holly would write a question  on the board, and we would have to work with that and come up with a half of a page worth of writing to answer the question. This was hard enough for most of us because usually the question could be  fully answered in a two sentence format. Now sister Holly is requiring us to answer the same type of questions in a two paragraph format which is 10 sentences long. I feel that she either needs to come up with new questions or make it the way that it used to be because now it is just too difficult. For those of you that are in the British literature class, do u think that she has made this too difficult?

working with people

Today I was sitting in Journalism and i had a conversation with jeremy carranza and I had asked him what his blog was about. Jeremy had told me that he blogged about his partner for a project that we have to work on in British Literature class, and i totally agreed with where he was coming from. Jeremys partner is not the most studious person and Jeremy is so he is scared about the way his project will go. The thing Jeremy realizes is that even though his partner is not the best it is a good opportunity to get used to working with people that you don't want to work with and i respect him for looking for the good in a bad situation. Jeremy Carranza is a good friend of mine and a good person and I agree with him that his situation is difficult and quite frankly sucks but I respect him for making the best out of his situation and looking in the positive.

Procrastination

 Last month in leadership class i was given an assignment to write a 4 page paper, create a presentation about that paper, and give out a handout of either information or something that benefits my presentation. The paper was about analyzing a historical figure and talking about how he or she expresses leadership qualities. When i was told about this paper I had a full month to be able to complete the assignment and turn it in to him, but instead of using the whole month to write the paper I wrote it the day before it was due. If I would have taken the whole month to write the paper I wouldnt have been stressed and I would have been able to write a way better quality paper. Through this assignment i had learned a lot but one of the biggest leasons that I learned was that time management is a major key to success and procrastination will get you nothing but stress and low quality work.

people.

People this week have really annoyed me, people like to critique me on my speech, behavior and work ethic when they have none. A lot of people are very hypocritical, and get mad at me for talking behind peoples back and being mean to me when they do the same thing. I realize my actions are wrong and I have not been the most nice person lately, but in my opinion if you are going to comment on someones actions and tell them to change you should represent those qualities yourself. I think people including me need to learn to just shut up and not speak if they have nothing encouraging to say, and I also think if you are going to be critical then don't be a hypocrite.

basketball

Basketball is one of my favorite sports and the sport I play at my school. Every year I look forward to basketball season because once it starts the year seems to fly by. This year I am a senior at Auburn Hills Christian School and a player of the basketball team and I am extremely excited for what this season has to offer.  Basketball this year is going to be difficult because we have lost two of our main players but if we stick together and work hard this season will be great! If your in 9-12th grade and you go to auburn hills christian school and you are interesting in playing you should its a great time and this season will be better than ever!

blogs

I have to write a blog every week and honestly sometimes I hate it. Most of the time when I am asked to write a blog I sit there for ten minutes trying to figure out something to write about with no success. Blogs are supposed to be general thoughts and ideas of what your feeling that day or basically something random which should be easy, but i feel that writing on broad topics are harder than writing on something that is designated and specific. For those that follow me, do you like bloging or do you experience the same problem that I do? 

Leadership!

Today has been a great day, I have really re-focused  my thoughts and feelings on a lot of things. Leadership class is possibly the most incredible classes that I have been subjected to. Many classes that I have been in I have not really been interested in, and quite honestly haven't gotten any knowledge out of it other than surface knowledge. With leadership class i am learning so many different things that are actually applicable to my life and I am loving every second of it. I wish that leadership wasn't only a class for seniors but something that is taught to everyone. Those seniors that follow me, do u think that leadership shouldn't only be a senior class and do you get as much out of the class as I do i would really like to hear your opinions.

dreams

This week in leadership class I was required to create a dream board. On this board I had put things like i have a six pack, i run marathons,I live in long beach California, I drive a 2012 chevy Camero  and other things like this. The dream board i created was a board of my perfect life and my future, but while I was creating this board i had realized that I have no clue how to actually achieve my dreams, Even though I don't know how to achieve my dreams I feel that it is important that they are there. Dreams are just really big goals that have many steps, and that take time to accomplish, but if you have dreams set then you have something to aim for, and having something to aim for is much better than having nothing. Dreams are important and we all should have them, so everyone should make a dream board and analyze their dreams and pursue them to their maximum capability.  

Senior Year

This year is my senior year in high school, which means I have a lot more responsibility. I have to figure out my future, apply to colleges, and worry about all of the other things that come along with senior year. When most people think about Senior year they think of it as a blow off and an easy year, when in reality it is a lot of work. We are the head of the school, besides the authority figures which means everyone looks up to us. This puts a lot of pressure on us because we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard to be a good example. Even through all the hard work and everything senior year is still everything I thought it would be, it is laid back, easy and entertaining and everything i could ask for. I am beyond blessed to make it this far and be a senior and I am looking forward to the rest of the year.
